Edward Whelan is the author of Gender Confirmation Surgery- a guide for trans and non-binary people and contributed to Transitions: our stories of being trans.
He is a writer and an activist for trans equality. He co-ran Brighton’s first trans masculine support group and performed at the first Trans Pride Brighton. In 2013 he cowrote Trans Health Matters with the Terrence Higgins Trust, their first sexual health guide for trans and non-binary people.
In 2020 he was selected as one of the winners of the JKP writing prize.
